James Cairns

I met James through my friend Juice a long time ago. Good times chilling in his place with Clare.

(When he signed it, most of it rubbed off, so I wrote on his name.)

The P&Q

My best friend Alison took me out for dinner at the Pheasant and Quail in Kelowna where I met some of her co-workers and WoW addicted friends. Bruce, Matt, Jeremy and Nathan (though I've actually known Nathan since Elementary school.)

Boris and Manu

Boris et Emmanuel habite dans le sud-est de France. J'ai passé beaucoup de voyage parlant français. Travailler sur une grille de mots croisés avec Manu et Nicky c'ete drôle. J'ai dû tirer bon.

Boris and Emmanuel are from the south east of France. I spent a lot of my trip with them speaking french. Working on a crossword with Nicky and Manu was hilarious. Great drawing skills were needed.

Alex, Colin and Douglas

Three cool cats. Once again, bus trip buddies. They decided to move from Ottawa to Victoria basically on a whim (sound familiar, I just went from Belleville to Vancouver instead.) They had some pretty bad ass short-shorts, too.

Eric

Eric is from Montreal. He was also on my cross-country bus trip. He ended up in Banff, AB. Chill kid. Open invite to crash on my couch. And he doesn't have facebook! Who doesn't have facebook in this day and age?!

Nicky Lake

I met Nicola on the bus from Toronto all the Way to Salmon Arm. She's been traveling around Canada and the States since January and is on the last leg of her trip. She's from Windsor, UK and taking a gap year. Hope you have fun on your last adventure to Whistler.

Rosanna Mestre

Rosanna was in my program. We had some amazing good times eating junk food and watching Audrey Hepburn movies or musicals. I'll miss our random times, but hopefully I'll see you when you adventure out west.

Cassy Porteous

My roommate Cassy. My home-diggedy. My Sing Star opponent. My Jonas Brothers singing-alonger. My watching TV on our laptops in bed buddy.

I'm going to miss you loads.

119 Wright Ave will never be the same.

Gary Musson

Gary and I went to school together. He is one of my fellow Loyalist College '09 Photo-J graduates and a cool cat all round.

Ian Macrae

Ian is one of my best friends since high school. He is my internet husband and equally as nutty as I am. He's the first male I ever taught to do their makeup, and now he's evolved into the gorgeous being that owns Dior and Chanel.

He's also the first person to mail me back a card!

Clare... Again!

Clare only filled out the joker, which isn't totally necessary, but Clare is more important than just a joker. She said something I found amusing:

"You know... stuff that's broken? They're 'I-need-to-fix-'em's."

It amused me.

No one has mailed back any of my cards yet. Still waiting.

Lindsay McKnight

I met Lindsay in the bus terminal in Toronto on my way down to Waterloo for a fashion shoot. I was shuffling through my deck and she asked me if I wanted to play cards. We talked for about half an hour.

Apparently my roommate Meggan might actually know her through a friend of hers.

This world is way too small.

Cyril

Cyril McRae is my friend Christopher's roommate. He is in Radio and is obsessed with ringtones. He's actually relatively chill if you get to know him, but he wears a suit made of sandpaper most of the time.

Clare

I met Clare at the Crazy Hair party several months ago, she's a friend-of-a-friend from my program, she is now one of my closest friends.

Beginnings

Every year I will buy a new deck of cards. When I meet a new awesome person, I'm going to ask them to sign one of the cards.

I started off by sending out cards to my favourite people, so there are cards in the post on their way to Kelowna, BC, Edmonton, AB, Winnipeg, MB, Newmarket, ON, Toronto, ON and Ottawa, ON. So now they just have to mail them back!

This will be a log of the cards I collect and the 54 people that I will meet every year.
